Level 3 Award – Outdoor First Aid 

The Outdoor First Aid course is designed to equip candidates with the knowledge and skills required to save lives in a medical emergency. This course is run over 2 days and includes both theory and practical sessions.  It will give a good level of knowledge to equip the candidate to deal with emergencies. This qualification is perfect for anyone working in the outdoors environment, particularly those working with groups in outdoor pursuits.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to manage and treat basic First Aid injuries in an outdoor environment.  This qualification has been developed to meet the first aid training requirements outlined by the Institute of outdoor learning.  The content also meets the requirements of NGBs including BCU and BASI

  • Effects of heat and cold, Inc. hypothermia, frost bite and dehydration
