Level 3 Award – Basic Life Support, Automated External Defibrillation and Management of Anaphylaxis for Adults, Children and Infants

The objective of this qualification is for learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a casualty (adult, child or infant) who is unresponsive or experiencing an anaphylactic reaction.

Topics covered include:

  • Be able to assess an emergency situation safely
  • Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
  • Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
  • Enables learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a casualty (adult, child or infant) who is unresponsive or experiencing an anaphylactic reaction
  • Approves learners to deliver first aid for 3 years
